Decorate with Love this Valentine’s Day!

Home is Where the Heart is: Decorate with Love this Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day is coming up and the team at HOMEPOINT has put together some
ideas on making your home more romantic and warm for the season of love. Whether
hosting a special someone for dinner, or on your own, there’s no harm in adding love
into your space. This year, we’re feeling a white Valentine.
Romance in the Dining Area:
Why not combine dry white flowers with eucalyptus leaves and real white roses for a
unique, romantic touch in the center of your table. A decorative centerpiece will make all
the difference and certainly uplift your usually simpler table set up.
If you’re going for Something truly magical, switch off the lights and aim for a candlelit dinner instead.
Candles always add a touch of warmth to the mood.
Valentine’s is a special time and we think it is time for you to bring out the beautiful set
of metallic cutlery and fine glassware you’ve been saving for a special occasion. Your
guests will feel appreciated and your dinners will truly stand out.
Another way to spoil your guest is with a simple message expressing your love and
care. Write or print your message on a card and place it on their plate to read when they
sit down for dinner.
In that same space, you can put a cloth napkin folded into something special.
As for the table setting, we recommend keeping it simple. White plates act as the
perfect canvas for the food you’ve prepared. So, choose dinnerware that will allow your
food to be the star of the show.
Also, make sure that your tableware matches your menu. For larger set menus, we
recommend smaller bowls and plates to reflect the size of the courses. For sharing
menus, big serving bowls and platters with tongs and serving spoons are much more
useful. Aesthetics are important, but so is practicality.
For the finale, surprise your loved ones with a delicious, decadent dessert! Try to be
special and unique by serving special cakes in heart shapes like these ones from
@SweetnFrosty with a bottle of champagne!
Love in the Living Area:
If we could bring love into your living area, we would break our newest, most
comfortable sofa, the Alana, along with our best-selling armchair Flora.
We’d also use rugs to warm up the space instantly, something simple. Then, we would
add smaller textiles like cushions and throws.
We would also add white flower bouquets with plates full of heart-shaped chocolate
from @Sweetnfrosty to your coffee tables like the Nelson coffee table or the Nelt tables
in these photos. To really amp up the romance, we would light candles with a diffuser so
you could smell the love in the air.
If you wanted something more fun, white and silver balloons will go great when popping open that bottle of champagne.
Warmth in the Bedroom:
The romantic and warm Valentine’s vibe is easily extendable to the bedroom. Consider
adding a small vase, white roses, and/or candle to your nightstand for a little something
extra.
We also recommend that you always have double pillows and quilts to achieve a fluffy
and cozy bed. Our choice of bedding is in white and neutral colors, which is why would
also add a beige throw to the bed.
